Mit Uncanny Valley gibt es in Dresden ein neues, ambitioniertes Labelprojekt, das House zwar als Basis begreift, seine Fühler aber auch in Richtung Techno, Disco und Dubstep ausstreckt. Mehr noch, das Label dient als Kommunikationsplattform, die sowohl die jungen Talente als auch die alten Hasen in der Elbestadt zum gegenseitigen Ideenaustausch nutzen.
Kennen und schätzen gelernt hat man sich bei gemeinsam verbrachten Nächten in lokalen Clubs wie dem Alten Wettbüro oder der Galerie Disko und beim Musik hören im bestsortiertesten Plattenladen der Stadt, dem Fat Fenders. Dort reifte auch der Plan, das zweifellos vorhandene Potential in Dresden unter dem Uncanny Valley-Banner zu bündeln.
Uncanny Valley is a label from Dresden, Germany. With its foundations firmly rooted in house the label is constantly evolving and open to all styles such as techno, electro and dubstep. Uncanny Valley is more than just a record label. It serves as a communication platform for both up and coming and established artists of Dresden’s electronic music scene. Many of these artists crossed paths on nights out in local clubs such as Altes Wettbuero or Galerie Disko and whilst checking out the latest releases in Fat Fenders, regarded as Dresden’s best stocked record shop. Inevitably, this led to some exciting collaborations and the birth of the Uncanny Valley. In summer 2010 the first record was released and entered the scene with a bang. The even more successful follow-up was released in December 2010.
