Trends zu folgen bedeutet Stillstand. Das treibt Norbert Sroke alias Echology beim Produzieren an. Von dem ersten Kontakt durch „Das Boot“ von U96 bis zum heutigen Künstlerselbstverständnis als Produzent experimenteller, aber doch zugänglicher Musik war es ein weiter Weg für Echology und seiner Begeisterung für den elektronischen Klang. Nachdem er sich von NuBreaks bis Techno in diversen Genres ausprobiert hat und von den jeweiligen Gesetzmäßigkeiten schnell gelangweilt war, versucht er heute seinen eigenen Stil zu etablieren. Beim Erschaffen der Echology-Atmosphäre legt er keinen Wert auf Standards. Der rote Faden im Hause Echology ist der Spaß am elektronischen Experiment, den er nicht nur bei seinen Livsets, sondern auch als Teil des Uncanny Six-Kollektivs bzw. des ganz jungen Projekts Orkester Kubiczek auslebt.

Just following trends can lead to stagnation. That’s what Norbert Sroke aka Echology tries to keep in mind when producing. Since he first came into contact with electronic sounds through “Das Boot” by U96, it has been a long way to his current artist identity as a producer of freethinking but also catchy electronic music. After experimenting with NuBreaks and Techno, he soon realized that he gets easily bored by specific genre limitations. So it is obvious that he doesn’t care about standards when it comes to developing that typical Echology-vibe. At the end of the day for him it’s all about the joy of experimention, no matter if it’s he in his live set, playing as part of the Uncanny Six-collective or with his fresh project Orkester Kubiczek.
