		<description><![CDATA[In 2011 Echology was featured on our first Uncanny Valley Ltd, now he teams up with the electronica artist Noize Creator and the drummer Jan Bartholdt to perform as Orkester Kubiczek. 		<description><![CDATA[The tenth release from Dresden&#8217;s Uncanny Valley collective feels like a nice summation of the label&#8217;s work to date. Roughly it&#8217;s deep house, but deep house that bites its thumb at anything too customary. &#8220;Kill Bill$,&#8221; for example, swaggers along with what sounds like a massive pair of scissors repeatedly opening and closing. (It&#8217;s groovy, promise.) They glisten brightly against the more muddled chug of the bottom-end and make for something nicely unsettling. Steve Kasper&#8217;s &#8220;Unvexed Dub,&#8221; meanwhile, actually sounds quite vexed, mutating restlessly through a number of states from deep and airy to stoned and dubwise with some freewheeling harmonics sandwiched somewhere in the middle. A grumbling 303 forms the backbone of &#8220;S51,&#8221; with trilling keys and pixelated synths crashing in ever-increasing waves. Unexpected is the voice that repeats &#8220;I&#8217;m sure you&#8217;ll find this amusing, but I&#8217;m afraid of the dark,&#8221; and so is the presence of such bright and optimistic melodies despite the devilish acid bubbles below. The surprises don&#8217;t end there, though, because who&#8217;d have thought C-Beams member Sandrow M&#8217;s mysterious and radiant deep house groove &#8220;The Three Tress&#8221; would sound so good with a fractured garage vocal somewhere up top? 		<description><![CDATA[Break SL turned up on the very first release from Dresden&#8217;s Uncanny Valley, and now he returns for his first full EP on his hometown label. His take on house music has always leaned towards the moody, downbeat end of the spectrum, with crisp, unvarnished drum machines nesting inside hushed chords; &#8220;Desert Flight&#8221; sounds him going slower and murkier still, with dragging kicks and sludgy bass that would fit right in with tracks from Kassem Mosse or Claro Intelecto. The broken-down, cracked-out vibe is accentuated by a top line that bristles with bright harmonics, faintly recalling Oni Ayhun&#8217;s glassy high end, and strange, spoken-word snippets about a man on fire, seemingly snatched from police radio. &#8220;Amorphed Limits&#8221; shakes off the muddled vibes and digs into a far more determined groove, with dry, jacking house beats offset by just a hint of Latin shimmy. No matter how placid the chords, it&#8217;s still nasty as anything, with a raw, resonant bass line and even more bite in the drums. As always with Break SL, he keeps the rhythm loose, daubing off-beat accents on top of a swinging, slightly unstable groove. That&#8217;s what they think about it: &#8220;One by one, the Dresden-based producers who were introduced to the world through Uncanny Valley’s various artists EPs are getting their chance to stretch out across EPs. Happily, the first impressions made by their one off tracks have generally proved to be quite indicative of the quality that’s followed. The latest is Alexander Dorn, better known as Credit 00, who offers a wonky, unpredictable takes on Midwestern techno and electro on The Living Room EP. Perhaps the most straightforward is the title track, in which Dorn’s sense of feng shui affords each element enough space to avoid overshadowing the rest. 		<description><![CDATA[Having previously contributed to Uncanny Valley 003 &#8211; perhaps our favourite various artists release from Uncanny Valley &#8211; Credit 00 becomes the latest artist to step up and deliver a solo EP for the Dresden imprint. Like Cuthead, C Beams and Jacob Korn before him, Credit 00 aka Alexander Dorn revels in the spotlight delivering a quartet of house cuts that reference the Mid West of the US without sounding like clones, embellishing each with his own sense of rhythm and texture. Snapping machine funk deep with layers of analogue detail and flexing acid are apparent from the opening track &#8220;Another Me&#8221; and tracks like &#8220;The Clave Problem&#8221; and &#8220;The Living Room Life&#8221; deftly combine a sense of melodic introspection with the impetus for bodily movement.
