After both experienced a moment of catharsis when the other one played Joubert Singers’ “Stand On The Word”, it was clear that Max aka Sir Vivor and Philipp wanted to do a gospel show together. Sir Vivor is one of Dresden’s first contact persons for crisp and dusty soul from the 60s and 70s. The wild all-nighter Upon My Soul!, he is putting together with soulmates Dee Cee and Vera G, is one of the longest lasting party series in the city. Check their Mixcloud. For the show he has dusted off some of his best-kept gospel vinyl treasures, while Philipp contributed some gospel infatuated boogie.
